Výstava Highlights zahajuje nový rok pečlivě vybraným výběrem nejvýraznějších, nejzajímavějších a nejoblíbenějších děl umělců zastoupených v galerii.
Výstava je poctou rozmanitosti, kvalitě a osobitému uměleckému projevu, které galerii charakterizují, a zahrnuje širokou škálu současných uměleckých směrů – od abstrakce a expresivních portrétů po folklórně inspirované vizuální světy a odkazy na popkulturu.
Výstava zve návštěvníky k znovuobjevení vybraných děl a k prožití umělecké energie, která formuje program galerie na začátku nového roku.
Mediální ohlédnutí a poděkování médiím
Rok 2025 byl pro mě, Jaroslava Valečku, plný inspirace, výzev i krásných okamžiků sdílení mé tvorby s vámi všemi. S radostí a vděkem se ohlížím za mediálním pokrytím, které mi umožnilo představit obrazy širšímu publiku, a děkuji všem redakcím za podporu a zájem.
Zde malá ochutnávka
Velkou pozornost vzbudil rekordní prodej mého obrazu prostřednictvím aukce Sotheby’s, o kterém psal iDnes.cz – lampiony štěstí zaujaly nejen sběratele, ale i širokou veřejnost (iDnes.cz). Zde vyšel i velký rozhovor k mé výstavě v Galerii Emila Filly.
ČRo – Dvojka a Junior nabídlo autentický pohled na mou cestu umělce a inspirace: „Malováním jsem se začal živit až po deseti letech“(Rádio Junior).
Výstavu „Příběhy pod Obzorem“ ve SKY Gallery OC Šestka přiblížila Večerní Praha (vecerni-praha.cz) a také Pražské metropole.
Moje díla si nacházejí své místo i v zahraničí a jejich příběhy rezonují napříč hranicemi – ohlasy přicházejí například z Radio Prostor (radioprostor.cz) a slovenské Pravdy.
Děkuji všem novinářům, redakcím a kulturním partnerům, že pomáháte šířit umění dál.
Vaše podpora dává obrazům smysl a umožňuje (mi) sdílet příběhy, humor a pohled na svět skrze malbu.
Největší veletrh umění v Rakousku
Veletrh umění Art&Antique ve Vídni je největším veletrhem v Rakousku a jedním z nejvýznamnějších v německy mluvících zemích. Jsem velmi rád, že mě galerie Twenty-six zastupovala již po několikáté. Veletrh byl velmi úspěšný, jak je to téměř pravidlem u akcí takového rozsahu. Atmosféra tanečního sálu Hofburgu skvěle doplňovala moderní umění a já se již těším na další veletrh Wikam Art Fair, který se bude konat v březnu.

Media review and thanks to the media
For me, Jaroslav Valečka, 2025 was a year full of inspiration, challenges, and wonderful moments sharing my work with all of you. It is with joy and gratitude that I look back on the media coverage that allowed me to present my paintings to a wider audience, and I thank all the editors for their support and interest.
Here is a small sample.
The record sale of my painting at Sotheby's auction attracted a lot of attention, as reported by iDnes.cz – the lanterns of happiness caught the attention of not only collectors but also the general public (iDnes.cz). A long interview about my exhibition at the Emil Filla Gallery was also published here.ČRo – Dvojka and Junior offered an authentic look at my journey as an artist and my inspirations: "I only started making a living from painting after ten years" (Radio Junior).
The exhibition "Stories Below the Horizon" at the SKY Gallery OC Šestka was featured in Večerní Praha (vecerni-praha.cz) and also in Pražské metropole. My works are also finding their place abroad, and their stories resonate across borders – responses have come, for example, from Radio Prostor (radioprostor.cz) and the Slovak newspaper Pravda.
I would like to thank all journalists, editors, and cultural partners for helping to spread art further.
Your support gives meaning to the paintings and allows me to share stories, humor, and my view of the world through painting.
Fair for Art in Vienna
In October, the Fair for Art art fair took place in Vienna, where I was represented by the Vienna gallery Twenty-six. This fair focuses on contemporary art and was attended by over 100 galleries from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Spain, and France. I was the only Czech artist at the fair. The fair was very successful, and I look forward to the next one.

Success of Czech art at Sotheby's auction
The British auction house Sotheby's has long been the leader in the art market and regularly auctions the most famous works of art. In November, it held one of its themed auctions in Cologne, Germany. This auction, entitled Modern & Contemporary Discoveries, focused on German and Central European painting, drawing, and graphic art.
Works by classics of German painting were successfully auctioned, such as Emil Nolde's watercolor Sunflowers and Red Stoneware Jug for €31,200, and a literally giant print (125 x 200 cm) Annunciation after Titian by one of today's best-selling artists, Gerhard Richter, for €28,800.
The auction also included works by several living and deceased Czech artists. An oil on canvas by Jaroslav Valečka, Lampiony štěstí (Lanterns of Happiness), was sold for €7,800. The painter responds: "I am certainly very pleased. Above all, I am pleased that I participated in this prestigious auction at Sotheby's for the fifth time in a row and that it was not just a one-off event. What's more, it was also my new auction record."
Jaroslav Valečka is one of the established Czech artists, his works are represented in many collections, including the National Gallery in Prague, the Regional Gallery in Liberec, the Aleš South Bohemian Gallery, and many others. He has participated in many exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. At the turn of this year and last year, his exhibition took place at the prestigious Václav Špála Gallery in Prague on the occasion of the author's 50th birthday. And next year, an exhibition entitled Dunkel Kronik is being prepared at the Twenty-six Gallery in Vienna, accompanied by a publication of the same name.
Beware of online auctions
Recently, some of my paintings have appeared in online auctions at very suspicious starting prices.
Several times I have come across obvious fakes passed off as my works. Unfortunately, there is almost no real legal protection against such actions in our country. The police are overloaded and, unfortunately, do not have the capacity to deal with such matters. I have personal experience of this, as my painting warehouse was burgled.
After this bad experience, I have not put any paintings up for auction on Czech online auction sites for many years. The only exception is charity auctions.
Please, if you are interested in a painting in an online auction, always ask for a certificate of authenticity, a purchase contract, or a reproduction of the painting in one of my catalogs. Any reputable auction house will be happy to provide this. There are not many unreliable ones, but they spoil the reputation of all.
On the contrary, with a few exceptions, the vast majority of classic galleries with which I have been working for a long time are reputable, and I have had very good experiences with them. There is no cause for concern here.
